School-to-School Transfer Application:

Currently matriculated students at Rutgers University (Camden, Newark, or New Brunswick) may submit an online application through the Rutgers Admissions School-to-School Transfer Application. The online application is open during the following periods:

Spring Transfer: October 1st to January 6th
Fall Transfer: February 1st 
to June 1st

The School to School transfer application is NOT permitted for non-matriculated students at Rutgers University.

Transfer Requirements by Program

ON-CAMPUS Programs

Program Description: The Bachelor of Science program offers majors in Accounting (010), Finance (390), Management (620), and Marketing (630).

Enrollment Eligibility:

  • Applicants must have completed at least 24 degree credits at Rutgers University prior to the application submission.
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA: Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.000. GPA’s from outside of Rutgers will not be taken into consideration for school-to-school transfer.
  • Grades of NG, TF, TZ, or INC will be calculated into the cumulative GPA as “F” for the purposes of determining admission.
  • Applicants transferring into RSBC with greater than 90 credits may be required to complete additional credits toward graduation, possibly resulting in additional time and/or tuition payments, in order to satisfactorily complete all graduation requirements.
  • Disciplinary Status: Applicants must indicate on their application any disciplinary action, judicial sanction, or violations of the academic integrity policy. Failure to disclose such a condition may result in the revocation of an admission offer.
  • Applicants who currently have a Rutgers sanctioned financial hold must resolve any related financial obligations prior to transfer approval.

Rutgers University-Newark Students
Applicants must have completed the following major prerequisite courses with a minimum grade of at least “C” in each course:

Rutgers University-New Brunswick Students
Applicants must have completed the following major prerequisite courses with a minimum grade of at least “C” in each course: 

  • 01:640:135 Calculus I OR 01:640:151 Calculus I Math/Physics 
  • 01:960:285 Introduction to Statistics for Business
OFF-CAMPUS BABA Programs

Program Description:

The BA in Business Administration (BABA) degree is only available at the RSBC off-campus locations in Atlantic (Mays Landing), Burlington (Mt. Laurel), Camden (Blackwood), Mercer (West Windsor) and Monmouth (Freehold) counties.

  • Applicants must use the 135 major code to indicate their interest in the BABA program in the application dialog box.

Enrollment Eligibility:

  • Applicants must have completed at least 12 degree credits at Rutgers University prior to the application submission.
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA: Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

Coursework:

  • All applicants to the BABA program must have successfully completed a transferable English Composition I and English Composition II with a grade “C” or better.
FULLY ONLINE BABA program

 Program Details:

  • The BA in Business Administration (BABA) degree is a fully 100% online BABA program; on-campus courses cannot be taken.
  • Tuition for the 100% online program is $550 per credit hour and $300 per course in fees. (This is the 2016-2017 tuition rate/tuition is subject to change with new academic year.)
  • Unemployment waivers cannot be used.
  • Applicants must use the 135P major code to indicate their interest in the BABA program in the application dialog box.

  • Applicants must have completed at least 12 degree credits at Rutgers University prior to the application submission.
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA: Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

Information Relevant To ALL APPLICANTS:

Application Deadline/Procedures and Notification Schedule
  • Applicants are limited to one application submission per semester.
  • Students applying for school-to-school transfer to RSBC must submit the online school-to-school transfer application by June 1 for the fall semester or by December 31 for the spring semester.
  • Applicants will receive notification of the school-to-school transfer decision via email on or before June 30 for the fall semester or January 7 for the spring semester.
    • Applicants enrolled in major prerequisite courses during the summer session must indicate so in their application statements. These applicants will be notified after the conclusion of the final Rutgers summer session or no later than August 25.
Conditions
  • All previously earned degree credits/grades will be reviewed in compliance with RSBC academic policies and some courses/credits may not transfer or may need to be repeated.
  • Applicants must remain in good academic standing at their current college and must satisfactorily complete the current semester.
  • Additional conditions may be noted in the school-to-school decision notification message sent to applicants. Applicants are responsible for compliance with any specified conditions.
Transcript Review
  • Applicants, who previously attended institutions other than Rutgers University, may be required to have an updated transfer evaluation completed for each institution upon admission to the RSBC.
  • All previously earned degree credits at institutions other than Rutgers will be reviewed in compliance with RSBC’s academic policies, and some credits may not transfer.

College Enrollment
By submitting an application, the applicant declares one’s intention to enroll at Rutgers School of Business-Camden.
  • The Academic Services Office will notify the University Registrar of your school-to-school transfer, if approval is granted, and your record will be updated accordingly.
  • Keep in mind that tuition and school fee structures vary by school and program—for more information, please contact the Financial Aid and Student Cashiering offices at 856-225-6039 and 856-225-6021.

Academic Advising/Registration Information: Successful applicants will be notified, via email, of registration, advisement and/or orientation procedures. Further questions or concerns should be directed to the appropriate College Contact (below).

Taking Business Courses with Special Permissions: Non-RSBC students at Rutgers-Camden may be eligible to register for select business (school 52) courses if there are no “open-to 52” restrictions listed in the web registration system https://sims.rutgers.edu/webreg/ and the student has met all necessary prerequisites. Special Permission is rarely granted for non-business students to enroll in restricted business courses. 

Graduation Requirements
Graduation requirements can be found at RSBC Academic Services. 
Residency Requirement
Applicants must complete 30 of their final 42 credits at Rutgers University-Camden, including at least 12 credits in the major, as matriculated RSBC students prior to graduation. 
Rutgers-Camden Housing
Applicants should contact the Office of Campus Involvement and Residence Life at 856-225-6471 to inquire about housing opportunities on the campus for the upcoming semester. Housing accommodations are assigned on a space-available basis.

Withdrawal of Application: Prior to a decision, an applicant may withdraw his/her application by visiting the status screen and inserting the letter “W” in the decision field. 

Withdrawal after Admission
If the school-to-school transfer student is unable to enroll, he/she must notify the college contact immediately to properly update the student’s and school’s records to reflect the change in enrollment plans.
