Hospitality Management at Rutgers Camden

The Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (B.A.B.A.) with a hospitality concentration is designed for individuals who have an interest in pursuing careers within the hospitality industry (hotels, restaurants, event planning, tourism, etc). The B.A.B.A. curriculum provides a full complement of business courses meant to provide a current cutting –edge business education thus providing for diverse career opportunities, including hospitality.

Hospitality Concentration

By taking four courses within the required advanced topics electives, a student can graduate with the BABA degree and a concentration in hospitality. An example of courses offered as hospitality electives include:

  • Leadership & Quality Management
  • Tourism Management
  • Sustainability in Hospitality
  • Financial Decisions in a Hospitality venture
  • International Hospitality
  • Advanced Hotel Management

Upon completion of the program, students will have competencies in the areas of team
building, strategic planning, human resource management, profit and quality improvement
and the effective integration of technology in any industry.
