We are thrilled to unveil a groundbreaking initiative: the Business Honors program, a collaborative venture between the Honors College and the School of Business–Camden.
Designed to cultivate the talents of a select group of high-achieving students, the Business Honors program offers a dynamic blend of academic rigor and real-world experience. This innovative curriculum not only enhances students’ leadership abilities but also fosters peer collaboration, community engagement, and continuous personal growth through networking opportunities.
Academically, Business Honors students will enroll in specially designated sections of core business courses, forming a cohesive cohort throughout their academic journey. Professors will facilitate experiential learning projects, guest speaker sessions, and competitions, equipping students with valuable skills for their professional portfolios. Moreover, elective seminars will delve into cutting-edge topics, such as business innovations, leadership, sustainability, and AI and technologies in business, aligning with the annual Honors College theme.
Beyond the classroom, Business Honors students will embark on corporate trips, engage in professional networking events, and benefit from career advisement sessions. Leadership development is emphasized through community service projects, ensuring that students emerge as well-rounded leaders poised for success.
Admission to the program mirrors the rigorous standards of the Honors College. Incoming first-year students expressing interest in business majors will be automatically considered for Business Honors, while rising sophomores may be invited based on their academic achievements. Although the official launch is slated for Fall 2024, current Honors College freshmen and sophomores have been offered early admission to experience the program firsthand.
