Online Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (BBA)

If you’re ambitious and looking for a flexible way to advance your career in business, the Rutgers Online Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (BBA) gives you the best of both worlds.

Online BBA Applicants

A high school transcript will be required if the applicant is applying as a first-time in college student, or as a transfer who has completed 24 credits or less. If the applicant is transferring in credits, a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 transferrable credits from a regionally accredited college or university is required.

Off-Campus Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (BBA)

For students with an Associate’s degree in Business, the Off-Campus BBA program offers a convenient path to a Rutgers degree with classes held at your current or nearby community college.

In order to be admitted to the Off-Campus BBA program, you will need: Associate of Arts or Associate of Sciences degree from one of the regionally accredited community college partners Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50.

Applicants for On Campus Bachelor of Science (BS)

RSBC prepares you with the skills and knowledge to carve out your niche in the dynamic business landscape. The BS Programs are offered on-campus at the Camden Campus. Students have the option of 6 majors (Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management, or Marketing) and can specialize their degree with 17 diverse minors.

First Year Applicants

You are a first-year (or freshman) applicant if:

  • You are currently enrolled in high school, even if you’ve completed college credits while in high school, or
  • You’ve graduated from high school and have never attended college, or
  • You’ve been enrolled in college but will have completed fewer than 12 academic post-high school graduation college credits by the time you enroll at Rutgers.

Note: Current high school students taking college courses during high school should apply as first-year applicants, regardless of the number of college credits earned while in high school. If you are graduating from high school after three years, earning a high school equivalency diploma, or are home-schooled, please review the required credentials for non-traditional applicants. 

First-year students can now use the Common App to apply to Rutgers School of Business–Camden!

Transfer Applicants

Use the undergraduate admissions application to apply as a transfer student if you have already graduated from high school and will have earned at least 12 college credits before your expected start at Rutgers–Camden.

Online BBA applicants are encouraged to have a B average from prior coursework.

NOTE: Students applying to the Online BBA can transfer up to 60 college credits into the program from a community college or up to 90 from a four-year accredited institution. Official transcripts from all past institutions are required before your first meeting with academic advising.

To be admitted to the Off-Campus BBA program, you will need the following:

Steps to Apply to an Undergraduate Program at RSBC

  • Complete the online undergraduate application available at admissions.rutgers.edu. **NOTE: Be sure to indicate the appropriate Undergraduate Business program and campus (Camden, Online, or one of the six partner community colleges).
  • Submit the non-refundable application and enrollment fees.
  • Submit all required documents, including transcripts, to the Rutgers University Undergraduate Admissions Office or by email to e-transcripts@camden.rutgers.edu.
    • A high school transcript will be required if the applicant is applying as a first-time in college student or as a transfer who has completed 24 credits or less.
    • Current High School Seniors Only: Complete your Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR).
    • Official transcripts will be required for all prior college-level coursework. If the applicant is transferring in credits, a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 transferrable credits from a regionally accredited college or university is required.
    • International students must submit English proficiency exam scores if the high school is in a country where English is not the principal language. Transcripts not in English must be accompanied by an acceptable translation. BLDP Application

The Spring 2023 Application is now open! 

Priority will be given to applications received by November 18. Applications are accepted until all seats are filled. Space is limited, so apply early!

The seminar application process is our gateway for entry into the program. Upon acceptance into BLDP, students will be emailed their acceptance letter plus a special permission number allowing registration for the BLDP seminar.

Requirements

Seminar applications are solicited each semester and require the following:

  1. Completed application form (at the bottom of this page),
  2. For students with GPA 3.0 – 3.49, two (2) letters of recommendation (one academic; one other)

Rutgers-Camden students are invited to apply to apply for enrollment in the BLDP seminar. All applicants are expected to meet both of the following selection criteria:  (1) have sophomore standing or above and (2) have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above. First-semester transfer students will be evaluated based on their GPA earned at Rutgers. Students who fail to meet these admission criteria may still be allowed to apply for (and possibly enroll in) the BLDP seminar, but they will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

The director balances evaluations to make final decisions on people accepted for the seminar (up to a maximum of 15-20 each semester).

Students who are admitted to the BDLP are required to adopt the BLDP Code of Conduct. A signed contract is required from each student.

Students may count activities toward “leadership units” that were initiated prior to taking a seminar, as long as those activities occured primarily during their enrollment in their academic program.
