In October, five
outstanding students from the Rutgers School of Business–Camden represented our
institution at Deloitte’s Making Accounting Diverse & Equitable (MADE)
Leadership Summit, held at Deloitte University—The Leadership Center in
Westlake, TX.
Adam Jean, Sean
Childs, Mia Aguilar, Ethan Figueiredo, and Josh Ramirez joined 550 first- and
second-year students from across the nation for an inspiring weekend designed
to introduce Black and Hispanic students to the world of accounting.
Representing 25 HBCUs and urban universities, participants explored career
possibilities, gained professional development, and networked with Deloitte
staff and executives.
The weekend
featured engaging accounting-based competitions, learning sessions, and, most
notably, a fireside chat with surprise guest and U.S. Gymnastics Olympic
Champion, Jordan Chiles. Our RSBC students made us proud as enthusiastic Raptor
Ambassadors throughout the event.
A heartfelt thank
you to Natalie Cox, Dr. Ivo Jansen, Dean Monica Adya, and Chancellor Antonio D.
Tillis for supporting this incredible opportunity. Congratulations to our
students for making the most of this EPIC experience and stepping confidently
into the future of accounting!
