Online MAcc Student Highlight: Julie Franklin
- Rutgers Grad Year: December 2025
- Major: Online Master of Accountancy (MAcc)
Meet Julie Franklin, a current graduate student in the Rutgers School of Business–Camden’s Online Master of Accountancy program with a Forensic Accounting Certificate.
With a 12-year career in managerial accounting and experience as a Marine, Julie chose Rutgers–Camden for its flexibility and specialized forensic accounting focus.
“This program allows me to continue to work and be a full-time mom to my two kids,” she shared. “The faculty—especially Dr. Werner and Dr. Robinson—have been so supportive in helping me achieve my goals.”
Julie’s favorite course so far? Forensic Accounting, taught by a former FBI forensic accountant.
“She provided so much real-world experience and insight beyond what textbooks offer. It really solidified my passion for forensic accounting.”
Even as an online student, Julie stays deeply connected to the Rutgers–Camden community—she recently traveled from Florida to attend the Ragone Conference: Digital Detectives — Tools, Trends, and Career Pathways in Forensic Accounting, showing her strong commitment to learning and professional growth.
After completing her MAcc in December 2025, Julie plans to attend law school to bridge her expertise in forensic accounting with the application of law in prosecution.
We’re proud to support students like Julie who are balancing career, family, and education while pursuing their dreams.
