Peter J. McAliney, PhD, MBA serves as Director of the Ragone Center for Excellence in Accounting at Rutgers School of Business–Camden. The role of the Ragone Center is to serve as a bridge between academia and the professional accounting community. Under his leadership, the Center stands as a vibrant hub for student engagement, professional development, and strategic partnerships. Dr. McAliney has cultivated a thriving student-professional community that contributes to awareness of the accounting field, aligning with the Center’s mission to educate and train the next generation of ethical and transformational leaders in accounting.
In his role as Director, Dr. McAliney has spearheaded initiatives that spotlight workplace-relevant skills into the accounting curriculum. He oversees the awarding of scholarships for advanced studies in accounting, manages the delivery of a CPA test program, and spearheads the annual Ragone Center Conference. These efforts support the Center’s objective to maximize CPA certification rates and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified accounting talent.
